Behind the scenes of resilience: Arnaud Boisset
Preparation, challenges and resilience ahead of the coming season.
Swiss skier Arnaud Boisset (27), a speed specialist, has experienced a veritable emotional elevator in his career. In March 2024, he reached the pinnacle of his career with his first World Cup podium, third place in the super-G at Saalbach.
But a few months later, one accident followed another: falls at Beaver Creek, Lauberhorn and Kitzbühel, as well as a further fall during training in Crans-Montana, forced him to interrupt his season.
To overcome these physical and psychological traumas, Arnaud turned to a mental coach, who helped him with hypnosis. The coach helps him to manage his fear and regain his confidence.
The tragic death of Matteo Franzoso, one of his European Cup comrades, rekindled his doubts, but thanks to the support of his coach and team, he is gradually regaining his composure and motivation.
Today, Arnaud Boisset feels ready to return to the slopes and take on Beaver Creek once again.
